Biography

James Temple is the Director of Corporate Responsibility for PwC and has a dual role leading the Canadian firm’s Charitable Foundation.

With a focus on helping to build and empower community leadership, James serves as Co-Chair of the Association of Corporate Grantmakers, is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Institute at Havergal College, and serves on Advisory Councils for YMCA of Greater Toronto, Sheena’s Place, Dress for Success, and the Ontario Association of Food Banks.

Speaking on issues related to community involvement around the world, James has most recently been featured at the World Volunteer Form, International Corporate Citizenship Conference, Canadian Business and Community Partnership Forum and was a judge for Strategy Magazine’s 2011 Cause and Action Awards.

He will be presenting a TED Talks at TEDxCalgary this November, and was one of this year's finalists for a Notable.ca Young Professional of the Year Award.

James holds a degree in Geographic Analysis from Ryerson University, a Certificate in Advertising and Media from the Canadian Marketing Association, is completing his CSR-P Designation and is a monthly columnist for Canadian Fundraising and Philanthropy magazine.
